District : Grieskirchen

Wendling.jpg

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 3, 1980.

The arms are based on a local story, in which two young nobles fought for the daughter of the Lords of Wendling. One of the youths was finally drowned in the castle ditch. The rose would symbolise the daughter.
