Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1929 and show the importance of the viniculture in the area. The composition of three bunches and 6 leaves can already be found on the oldest known seals of the town, dating from the 15th and 16th century. In 1615 the town became part of the Pfalz and the seals now showed the lion of the Pfalz holding a bunch of grapes in its paw.
