Selected collector's items from Germany:

WINTZINGERODE

State : Thüringen
District (Kreis) : Eichsfeld (until 1994 Worbis)
Incorporated into : 2004 Leinefelde-Worbis

Wintzing.jpg

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially graned on February 18, 1997.

The wavy bend in green symbolises the Katharine brook, which runs through the village. The other half shows the arms of the two main rulers of the village. The hook is taken from the arms of the medieval Lords of Wintzingerode; the base from the Bodenstein family. The latter also owned the Bodenstein castle in the village.
