The wavy bend probably symbolises the Eschenbach (Bach=stream, brook). Ober-Eschenbach (since 1917 Wolframs-Eschenbach) received town rights in 1332 and the oldest seal dates from the same time. The seal already showed the above arms. The colours are known since 1450, but have often changed, see image below by Hupp in the 1920s.
