State : Niedersachsen
District (Kreis) : Göttingen (until 1973 Duderstadt)

Wollershausen.jpg

Official blazon

In Gold ein steigender, schwarzer, rotbewehrter Wolf, in der rechten Pranke einen stahlblauen Angelhaken haltend.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 10, 1975.

The wolf is taken from the oldest known Lord of Wollershausen, Dietrich von Waldershausen. The hook in the front paw is taken from the arms of the Von Minnigeroge family, who owned the village from 1397 until the 19th century.
