Verbandsgemeinde : Verbandsgemeinde Nieder-Olm

Oberolm2.jpg

Origin/meaning:

The arms were officially granted on ??-??-1965.

The arms show a cross, based on the oldest and only known seal of the village, as well as the wheel of the State of Mainz and in the fourth quarter three bard, which are taken from the old border stones of the village. The colours are those of the State of Mainz.

The oldest known seal dates from 1653 and shows a cross with on the center the wheel of Mainz.

In 1956 the arms shown below were proposed, in arbitrarily chosen colours.
