KORONOWO
Province: Kujawy i Pomorze
County: Bydgoszcz
Incorporated into : 19?? Janowice Wielkie
Origin/meaning
The arms show a crown, which is a canting element (Krone, the old German name was Krone an der Brahe).
The oldest known seal of the town dates from 1699 already shows the crown and cross, as did all later seals of the town. The cross is a symbol for the Cistercian Abbey of Byszewo/Bisson that founded the town.
