Origin/meaning

The arms show the pales of the Languedoc-Roussillon region. The wolf's head refers to the legendary "Bête du Gévaudan" (Beast of Gévaudan).

The small fleur-de-lys is taken from the arms of the lord De Vignan des Bézalz family, Lords of the village in the early 18th century.
