Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 19, 1999.

The bell tower in the arms is the landmark of the village of Münchehofe. The water mill wheel refers to the importance of the local mill for the village of Hermsdorf. The birch leaf is a canting element for the village Birkholz (Birke=birch).
