Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 14 and 26, 2003.

The cross refers to the large cemetery with 28000 graves from the Second World War. The wavy bend refers to the many lakes and waters in the municipality. The linden is a common plant in the villages and the 5 leaves symbolise the 5 villages in the municipality.
