Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on January 27, 2017.
The ancient temple is a canting element, the name is derived from the Latin Sacellum, meaning temple. It also refers to the Gallo-Roman camp that existed close to Châtel.
The two crosses are the symbol of the Bar county, to which the area historically belonged. The bridge is the bridge over the Meuse river.
