V modrom štíte zo zlatej koruny vyrastajúce strieborné čiernomurované cimburové opevnenie s čiernymi oknami a s čiernou, do polovice vytiahnutou mrežou v otvorenej bráne. Na každej z dvoch cimburových veží stojace privrátené čierne striebrokrídle vtáky, držiace zobákmi strieborný prsteň.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1991.

The arms are based on the seal of the town from 1861.

The arms are largely based on the arms of the Counts of Stárai of Michalovce, who ruled the town for a long period of time, and also lived in a large estate in the town.
