Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 8, 1967.

The arms shows in the lower half the lion on the pointed mountains taken from the arms of the Counts of Schönborn. The upper part shows the bars taken from the arms of the Counts of Rieneck. Both families historically ruled the village.
