439TH FORCE SUPPORT SQUADRON, US AIR FORCE

History: Constituted as Base Detachment, Ladd Field, on 30 December 1941. Activated on 23 April 1942. Redesignated as 439 Base Headquarters and Air Base Squadron on 22 September 1942. Disbanded on 29 April 1944. Reconstituted, redesignated as 439 Mission Support Squadron, and activated in the Reserve on 1 August 1992. Redesignated as 439 Force Support Squadron on 15 October 2010.
