English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on December 20, 2016

The arms are divided with a silver pale, which symbolises the Vernazobre river. Each half represents one of the villages in the municipality.

Pierrerue is symbolised by the saltire for St. Andrew, the local patron saint and a black tower as a symbol for the former fortress. The red and gold are the colours of the Languedoc region.

Combejan is symbolised by the two palm leaves, for the patron saints St. Abdon and St. Sennen, and the 400 year old local mulberry tree, classified as a natural monument.
