OȚELU ROȘU
District/county (județ) : Caraș-Severin
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on May 5, 2005.
The industrial chimney from which flames come out means that this settlement is an industrial center. The red color and the flames symbolize the incandescence of the molten steel and agree with the name of the city.
The green terrace made up of hilly formations symbolizes the characteristic relief of Banat.
The mural crown with three crenellated towers means that the town has the status of a city.
