HASPE

State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Hagen (until 1975 Iserlohn)
Incorporated into: 1975 Hagen

Wappen von Haspe/Arms (crest) of Haspe
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on August 15, 1911.

The arms symbolize the industrial character of the city. The only historical seal showed a canting hare (Hase) and a scythe, probably indicating agriculture. The scythe is taken into the new arms, the hare is replaced by miner's tools and a wheel.

Siegel von Haspe

The municipal stamp shown in 1892
Seal of Haspe

Seal from around 1900
