PFERSDORF

State : Thüringen
District (Kreis) : Hildburghausen
Incorporated into : 1994 Hildburghausen

Wappen von Pfersdorf (Hildburghausen)

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on January 21, 1992.

The horse head symbolises the name of the village (Pferd=horse), but also the importance of horse-breeding in the village. The half cross symbolises a local devotion cross, from which one crossbar is missing. The three balls in the base are the symbol of St. Nicholas, the local patron saint.
