  • (de) In Silber schwebend eine rote Burg mit offenem schwarzen Tor, der breite Mittelturm gezinnt, die beiden Seitentürme mit Spitzdächem.

Origin/meaning

The arms show a castle, a typical symbol on the seals of medieval cities. The castle of Stadtroda appeared on the seals since the 15th century. All later seals and images have shown the castle, although the shape often changed.
