English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on March 7, 1986.
The chief shows three clovers, taken from the arms of the last lords of the village, the Counts of Brosses. Th tree refers to the tree cultivation in the municipality. The crosier symbolises the Ainay and Sivigny abbeys, to which the village historically belonged. The ladder (échelle) is a canting element for the old name of the village, Les Échelles.
