Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted in 1910.

The arms show a plough iron, a symbol for the agricultural character of the village, within the bordure of the Counts/Princes von Fürstenberg, as the village was part of the Fürstenberg estate from 1321 until the late 18th century.
