PARISH OF HOV (LINKÖPING DIOCESE)

Denomination : Lutheran

Arms (crest) of the Parish of Hov (Linköping Diocese)

Official blazon

I fält av guld en blå drakvinge under en röd krona.

Origin/meaning

The Crown alludes to the Hov Royal Estate. The Dragon Wing symbolises that the Parish Church probably was dedicated to St Michael. It also alludes to the Dragon in the Arms of Västanstång. Designed by Per Andersson and assumed 28 September 1996. In 2006 Hov was merged into the Parish of Vadstena.
