VALLAMAND

Canton : Vaud
Incorporated into : 2011 Vully-les-Lacs

Armoiries de Vallamand

Official blazon

De gueules à la grappe de raisin d'or, tigée et feuillée de sinople, au chef d'argent chargé de la lettre V de sable.

Origin/meaning

The arms were probably designed in 1915 when the arms of the four municipalities in the Montet-Cudrefin parish were included in a new glass-stained window of the parish church.

The arms show a bunch of grapes as a symbol for the local viticulture, and the letter V as the initial of the municipality. The red and silver colours are those of the diocese and state of Lausanne, to which the area historically belonged.
