HERMRIGEN
Canton : Bern
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms have a complicated meaning. The name is supposedly derived from Herimaringen, the Herimar being a Germanic tribe. Heri means sword, mar famous. The oak leaves are taken as a symbol for fame. The arms were devised in 1939.
