Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 17, 1984.

The arms are canting, the name means Stone Church, which is symbolised by the cross in the first quarter and the bricks in the second and third quarter. The bricks also symbolise the Almegg Castle in the municipality. The fourth quarter shows a wavy bar for the Traun river.

Literature : Baumert, H.E. : Oberösterreichische Gemeindewappen, Linz, 1996.
