Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 11, 1970.

The deer refers to the forest and nature in the area, the bend and the wheel refer to the important (historical) road, the Radstädter Tauernstrasse (the whell thus also refers to Radstadt).

Literature : Zaisberger, F. and Pfeiffer, N. : Salzburger Gemeindewappen. Winter Verlag, Salzburg, 1985
