In Schwarz ein aufgerichteter goldener Löwe. Origin/meaningThe arms of Auerbach show the lion of the Lords of Plauen, who founded the city around 1300. In 1402 Auerbach received city rights and ever since the lion of Plauen is used in seals and arms.
