Incorporated into : 1972 Bingen am Rhein

Wappen von Sponsheim/Arms (crest) of Sponsheim
Official blazon
German blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms show in the right half the lion of the Pfalz, as the village for many centuries belonged to the Pfalz. The tiles (Späne) are a canting element for the old name of the village, Spansheim.
