English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 18, 1985.

The village historically was a typical farming community, which is symbolised by the wheat-ear. At present the main source of income is tourism, which is symbolised by the sailing ship. The helmet symbolises the Damp estate and the noble families living there.

Literature: Peters, 1974
