MIMBACH

State : Saarland
District (Kreis) : Saarpfalz Kreis
Incorporated into : 1974 Blieskastel

Wappen von Mimbach/Arms (crest) of Mimbach
Official blazon
German In Gold ein rotbewehrter und -bezungter roter Löwe, eine grünbeblätterte rote Tulpe in den Pranken haltend.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 23, 1956.

The arms show the red lion of the Counts of Zweibrücken, as the village historically was ruled by these counts. The tulip is taken from the old seal of the village of Webenheim, as until 1843 Mimbach was part of the Webenheim jurisdiction.
