Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 29, 1977.

The maple (Ahorn) tree is a canting element in the colours of the Franken region. The raven is taken from the Von Rabenstein family, who, for many centuries, owned a large part of the present municipality.

Literature: Stadler, 1990.
