State : Hessen
District (Kreis) : Marburg-Biedenkopf (until 1973 Biedenkopf)
Incorporated into : 1972 Angelburg
German | blazon wanted |

Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 28, 1956.
The arms are based on one of the oldest versions of the arms of the medieval Lords od Lixfeld, who played a major role in the local history. The arms are taken from a seal of Denhard von Lixfeld, from 1394/1398. Prior to 1956 the village had no seals or arms.
