GENDERKINGEN
State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Donau-Ries
Official blazon
Gespalten von Silber und Blau; vorne zwei schräg gekreuzte rote Schlüssel, hinten der golden gekrönten goldene Großbuchstabe K.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on September 13, 1960.
The two crossed keys are the symbol of St. Peter, the local patron saint. The crowned K is taken from the arms of the imperial abbey of Kaisheim, who owned the Genderkingen estate. The silver and blue colours are those of the marshals of Oberndorf, who rule dthe village for some time.
