Origin/meaning :
The arms were granted on October 25, 1930.

The arms were based by Hupp in the late 19th century on a seal dating from 1758. The seal, however, does not belong to the village, but to an individual. The lion is coloured as the lion of <a href=z/zweibruc|Zweibrücken]], as the village historically belonged to Zweibrücken. Hupp showed the arms in a silver field, without providing the reason for this metal.

Literature : Debus, 1988
