D'argent à l'alambic de sable; au chef de sinople chargé de trois escargots contournés d'or.
Origin/meaning
The arms show a still which refers to Jean-Pierre Montégut born in 1776 who, for 60 years, was a famous distiller of the Armagnac, Bigorre and Languedoc regions.
The snails refer to the nickname of the villagers 'les escargouillès', or the snails.
