Arms: Per fess, and in chief per pale, dexter Sable, three chevronels couped Argent, placed 1 and 2; sinister Or, an anchor with cable erect, Sable; in base Azure, within an annulet a tree on an island, all Or.
Motto: ALTIUS ET LATIUS

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 13, 1967.

The three tents symbolise the early 19th-century military camp on Rondebosch Common. The anchor refers to Cape Town and the lower half is canting (Rondebosch = round - forest, so a tree with a round ring).
