Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on March 15, 1951.
The place name "Barberino" derives from the coat of arms of the Cattani family, carved in a track girder of the castle, showing a head of man with three beards (in Italian barba means beard). Around the castle, in the XI century the village of Barberino developed.
