Origin/meaning

These arms have been officially granted on 9th October 1995.

The millstone is an allusion to the martyrdom of Sant Feliu (St. Felix), the local patron saint, that was thrown into the sea with a millstone tied up around the neck. The colours Argent and Gules are taken from the arms of the bishops of Girona, lords of the village since 1314.
