Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The village was ruled as a condominium between the Dukes of Lorraine and the Archbishops of Trier. The oldest seal dates from 1783 and shows the present arms (including the colours). The arms are the crossed keays of St. Peter, the patron saint of Trier. The arms never changed and were officially granted in 1965.
