Origin/meaning

The arms show in the upper half a Paschal Lamb, the symbol for St. John Baptist, the local patron saint. The three lions are the symbol for the Picardie Region. The lower half shows a letter V and symbolises the break between Grand- and Petit-Verly in 1896.
