Escut caironat partit: 1r. de gules, un llorer d'or; 2n. d'argent, una mola de gules. Per timbre una corona mural de poble.

Origin/meaning

This municipality was formed in 1983 when the two villages segregated from Amer. The first partition of the arms is canting: it shows a laurel, for Sant Julià del Llor (Catalan "llor" means laurel); the millstone reminds the flour mill of the Bonmatí family, that was the origin of this textile colony. These arms have been officially granted on 18th January 1990.
