State : São Paulo

Itupeva.jpg

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on August 23, 1983.

The chevron represents elevated thoughts and the division of the lands into small farms in the beginning of the colonisation. The roses symbolise hope and the lion symbolises valour shown by the people since the foundation of the village. The railway track symbolises the importance of the railways for the development of the city.

The shield is flanked by coffee and grape branches, the main crops in the region.
