Origin/meaning
The arms were granted in May 1976.
The reeds are a canting symbol, Rehden can be derived from Reet, or reeds. The number of 5 symbolises the five municipalities in the Samtgemeinde. They are bound together as a symbol for the unity of the Samtgemeinde.
To the Samtgemeinde belong the following municipalities :
- Barver
- Dickel
- Hemsloh
- Rehden
- Wetschen
