OSTBEVERN

State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Warendorf
Additions : 1975 Amt Ostbevern (partly)

Wappen von Ostbevern

Official blazon

(de) Auf goldenem Untergrund ziehen zwei rote Zickzackbalken, darüber ein steigender Biber mit roter Zunge.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 21, 1936 to the former Amt Ostbevern and on April 7, 1975 to the municipality.

The beaver is a canting symbol (Biber, Bever). The two red bars are derived from the arms of the former Lords of Bever.
