Arms of Šošůvka

Official blazon

V zeleném štítě stříbrný vztyčený rýč bez násady. Hlava štítu dělena, nahoře v modrém poli zlatá osmihrotá hvězda, dole zlatá medová plástev

Origin/meaning

The arms were registered on June 27, 2001.

The arms are based on the two known old seals of the village. The first dates from 1682 and shows two 8-pointed stars. The second dates from 1789 and shows a plough iron or a spade as a symbol for the agricultural character of the village.

When the village wanted arms, different other elements were proposed; including the patron saint of the caves, which are common in the area. But finally it was decided to use elements from the old seals.
