1ST FOREIGN PARACHUTE REGIMENT, FRENCH ARMY
History: Fromed as 1st Foreign Parachute Battalion in Indochina in 1948. Destroyed and rebuilt twice, raised to a Regiment in 1955 and disbanded in 1961 following the attempted Coup by French Paratroops Units in Alger.

The Grenade and the Green and Red Colours indicate the Foreign Legion and the Wings and Parachute the Airborne Role. 1re REP is the Regimental Abbveration in French of Régiment Étranger de Parachutistes.
