Background
The albums were published as an initiatiev of regional newspapers; in Friesland the Friesch Dagblad, in Noord-Holland the Verenigde Noordhollandse Dagbladen and in Zuid-Holland Randstad Edities. There have been plans to extend the series to the other Dutch provinces, but these albums have never been issued.
The arms were issued as stickers that could be collected and glued in the albums. Each municipality is described, located on a map and a small section is devoted to the arms.
