In schwarzem Schild einen rechtsgewendeten , aufrecht stehenden goldenen Löwen mit roten Krallen, offenem Rachen und herausgeschlagener roter Zunge sowie einen nach oben geworfenen Schweif mit doppelter Quaste.

Origin/meaning

Adorf was founded as a city around 1290 by the Lords of Plauen and became a possession of the Counts of Meissen. The arms have been used since the 14th century and show the lion of the Lords of Plauen.

The colours did not change, but still Hupp showed the arms with a red field (see image below).
