Selected collector's items from Germany:

AMT KIRCHSPIELSLANDGEMEINDE BRUNSBÜTTEL

State : Schleswig-Holstein
District (Kreis) : Dithmarschen (until 1970 Süderdithmarschen) Incorporated into: 1970 Brunsbüttel

Wappen von Amt Kirchspielslandgemeinde Brunsbüttel/Arms (crest) of Amt Kirchspielslandgemeinde Brunsbüttel
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 21, 1963.

The arms show the bust of St. James, patron saint of Brunsbüttel, who was already shown in the seal of the local parish in 1316. The five plough irons are a symbol for the five municipalities in the Landgemeinde and also symbolise the development of the area from the marshy area.

To the Kirchspielslandgemeinde Brunsbüttel the following municipalities belonged :

  • Brunsbüttel
  • Mühlenstraßen
  • Ostermoor
  • Osterbelmhusen
  • Westerbelmhusen
