AUE-SCHWARZENBERG (ASZ)

State : Sachsen
Additions : 1994 Aue, Schwarzenberg
Incorporated into : 2008 Erzgebirgskreis

Wappen von Aue-Schwarzenberg/Arms (crest) of Aue-Schwarzenberg
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 1, 1994.

The arms show a crosier as the symbol for the influential monastery of Grünhain. The dents are taken from the arms of the Schwarzenberg Estate and the cross in the base is derived from the arms of the Counts of Meissen from the Meinheringer dynasty. The arms thus combine symbols from the former rulers in the district. The dents and crosier also were part of the old arms of Schwarzenberg.
